it's on 94.9 FM but unfortunately only available in and around the Greater
London area (ergo station name!). A very good station indeed onto whose
playlist BFF fits well. If you want to phone up and bug them for info on
when and if they will have the band playing the number is (44) [feel free
 to phone from outside the UK!] (0) 171 224 2424 / 925 0942 / 925 1696. The
guy to ask for is Jim (he books the bands). Don't give him too much hassle
but if enough of us idiots phone up they'll be much more likely to have
BFF playing when they come to town.

A word of caution (unless the situation has changed from Thursday 19th
Sept when I last checked). The London Dingwalls gig on 26th Nov is
conditional on ticket sales for the gig on the 18th. While all the
attendent local publicity will make it unlikely that the 18th will not be
close to sell-out, AFAIK the 26th is still not yet on sale because it is
still NOT YET CONFIRMED! Don't make plans to only see them on the 26th or
 you MIGHT be disappointed.

 ttfn John Purdie

ps: one number for ticket sales is Stargreen 0171 734 8932. This is also a
good number for checking about the gig on the 26th.

 Subject: tapes

I've asked a few times before and have gotten no response, but someone out
there has to have some live tapes of BFF. I tape at lots of shows (only
those that allow) and I know for a FACT that BFF allows taping at their
shows. I personally asked Darren and he said anything but from the board
 is fine.

So why doesn't anyone have any tapes? You can be sure that the next time
they come through Pittsburgh that I will have my mics and deck prominently
displayed and rolling. And I'll offer the tape to the newsgroup too. But
until then, who has the tapes???!!!! -- Later, Shaun

i have been a faithful fan since i heard of the guys on cmj back
in november of last year. i realize that they have been around a
lot longer than that but its difficult in this area of PA where
i'm in school to hear cool bands like this. anyway, i am a dj at
the school's radio station wclh and i have made it a tradition in
my show to play them every week. i was wondering besides that 1st
cd that i have w/ jackson cannery, underground, julianne, and many
others WHERE CAN I GET A HOLD OF OTHERS? i have heard of the 7" of
jackson cannery which is my favorite song, but i am dying for new
stuff. could you write and let me know where to buy, order things.
 thanks.

 hi all!
I'm hoping i'm not the bajillionth person to say this, but buying
bootleg CD's is a *really* bad idea. It's a privilege when we are allowed
to tape and those who tape and make a profit from it are (a) stealing from
the artists, (b)making it so that we will eventually not be allowed to
tape, and (c) working up some wickedly bad karma.
 	Thanks for reading!

 Hey everybody:
Would anyone be interested in helping me keep up my web page? I would
like to add lyrics, but I just don't have the time(some of you may have
seen my feeble atempt at a lyrics page-IT SUCKS). I would need you to
key in the lyrics to all the songs. Let me know if you can help.

 Hi,

Due to a major technical error, all my mail folders have disappeared
into thin air, taking many names, addresses, tape trading details and
stuff for my web pages with them. I am also unable to send out mail
from my usual address. If you have sent something to me in
the past few days, and I have not written back to you cursing about
the loss of my folders, please assume that your details have gone
with them, and I would ask that you please email me again soon with
any details I may need to know. Those that I should be trading tapes
with (*Mandel* springs immediately to mind, I'm afraid I can't think of
the rest), please re-send me your addresses and details of what I was
sending you / you were sending me, so I can get on with it. If
anybody had sent me stuff for the lists of bootlegs / songs, I would
please ask that you re-send those if at all possible. Thank you.

 Subject: Instant Magazine

I think it was like last week or something, but on my way to the lovely
dining common on campus for some dinner I happened to look at the little
newspaper stand that The Collegian, our school newspaper, is kept, and
there, lying beside the stand were two copies of Instant Magazine with
Ben and the gang on the cover. Well, needless to say I got excited since
I had been looking for that issue ever since it was mentioned on the
list, and I screamed "Oh my god..it's Ben!" The people I was with were a
little embarassed..so a few people stared at me like I was some kind of
freak or something..anyhow..the article was really cool, the cover was
great as was the charicature of the band, which now grace my dorm wall.
I've also noticed little green Instant Mag stickers put in odd places
around UMass..wonder where I could scrounge one of those puppies up...

 Sarah

P.S. Are any of the singles available in the States?
