Hello Collective!
I wasn't planning on adding anything to this pot debate (if you want my
personal opinion, feel free to e-mail me and ask, I'm sure no on will),
but when I saw the following, I just had to respond:
" Considering the fact that pot is less harmful to body then nicotine
and alcohol, it can't be to bad."
Well, both alcohol and nicotine are terrible for you body, so just
because something is less terrible, doesn't mean it isn't at all
harmful.
That is all I have to say.

re: posting a few magical armchairs ago
the pbs listing for bf5 on "sessions at w 54th st" on 9/13 is wrong.
the "sessions at w 54th st" web site, which has been 100% accurate for
the entire run, doesn't have the band listed for sept.
the lineup is: 9/6: Emmylou Harris and Daniel Lanois. 9/13: Me'shell
Ndegeocello and Cafe Tacuba. 9/20: Joshua Redman and Zap Mama. 9/27:
Patti Smith and Ron Sexsmith.
bf5 were slated for the series debut on 7/5, but were bumped by paula
cole and k.d. lang. the 9/13 date was announced by show host Chris
Douridas on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" when the band (w/ HORDE
strings) appeared on 7/17/97, but that's apparently toast. let's hope
they finally make the cut in October. my vcr's waiting.

related. When we (me and my friends) were at the autogrqaph booth at Horde
for BFF, Ben was wearing a Rage Against the MAchine t-shirt. My friend likes
Rage a whole lot and commented on it. Ben gave us this story about how he
sat next to Zac de la Rocha on a plane ride and that he was pretty cool. So
my friend gave ben a piece of paper and asked him to write somethin. so ben
wrote "Zak says hi and he won't do what you tell him." quite cool. ok later,
