grrr.

ok, when bff was on conan on july 16th (but actually aired the 17th), everyone
was aware that it was the night of the 16th. so, why cant this be the same for
sessions?

it aired the night of the 31st, at 12:30 (here in nj). but everyone promoted
it as the 1st of august. naturally, i thought it would be on the night of
august 1st, not the super-early morning of aug 1st.

there is inconsistency for ya. god damn! i missed it again!!

aaron

btw- heard BOWCCL at the local movie theater (before they play the coming
attractions, they just play music). so there is the bff content.

I noticed when I was watching the Saturday Night Live rerun with BF5
that Ben looked so sad.....Was this because of the sadness of the song
Brick or was he just sad. I don't like seeing him sad. It makes me
sad. sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad. Don't miss BF5 on
Sessions of West 54th tonight!

i have a couple things to say about evaporated. Why the hell would it be a
continuation of brick...i mean, there isn't, in my opinion, any loss in
brick.
I mean, come on, sure he probably losses a kid or losses a girlfriend but this
is more than that. In evaporated he's not worrying about his relationship
ending because of something. He upset because he's been thrown away. He's
put
so much into a relationship but it all turned to nothing. Not for a reason,
not because impregnation, because of plain "i'm the girl and i don't like you
anymore ben" shit. Now i can see a point that you guys make but i don't
understand why he would say, "what i've kept with me, and what i've thrown
away" <-- this line is first person of the girl. She's thrown a relationship
away and that is that. and there is also no pouring your heart out about
sex.
"where the things i really cared about, JUST LEFT along the way" they left,
they weren't pushed away. He's also lost his mind because he doesn't know
what
to think. He's so depressed and everyone's probably like, "why are you so
hung
up on that girl". He has his reason, but it's his reason. The reason he
loved. Well, that was my persuasion. It's all i can give, all my opinion.
Thanx...bye

Well, i just came back from London...wow what a great city...anyway for a
week i went in search for anything BFF related...but alas, my search was not
going well...then i found the "Brick" single...which i wanted because it has
"She Don't use Jelly" on it...so i go back to the crappy hotel pop my newest
cd into my cd player and.....She dont use jelly was not on there...yes, i
actually cried...but it did have the Japanese version of Song for the Dumped
which kicks ass! but i was still sad and loosing hope that i would find
anything else...then i found a little tiny CD shop that was the size of my
closet...and what do u know...i found the "Kate" single...which has "Bad Idea"
and "For all the pretty people"!!!!! So, the point of my on going typing you
ask??....I'm so extremely happy...and i thank the fans of London for having
such a damn cool city!!! =)

Oh and i just have to comment on the age thing..i've loved BFF well, forever
it seems but i am only 15...so fellow young ones...we cant blame everyone for
sterotyping...we all know(and have wanted to kill) those girls who are exactly
like the way whoever started this thing described...so lets just drop this
dumb battle...even though i know i'm not helping by commenting but..oh well!

damn this post is long for me,

With all due respect, I think that there policy is fair. I know if I
was working there and had my eye on the poster I'd be furious if some
fan just came by and grabbed it. Employees should have first dibs.

Figures. I see this band live nine times in 1998 and I don't get to hear
Jackson Cannery, Best Imitation of Myself, or Video even one time. You
Australians have all the luck, I tell you! I still have yet to see Video
live--I figured for all purposes it had been retired. Just like Rob said
they wouldn't be playing Jackson Cannery too much any more. Yeah
right--just for the shows when I'm there, I bet.

How about this--my friend said she saw a yellow Trakker with a homemade BFF
sticker in the back window the other day. I wonder whose it was? :-) (Yeah
Brooke!)

And, for those of y'all who saw Pop-Up video, I know you were laughing when
you read the part about Robert losing his wallet in the water. I sure was!
Still, they didn't explain why they used a 13 year-old actress to play "the
girl"...

I can't believe your post. You're referring to black people as if they're a
seperate kind of creature... "I have a thing for black guys". Hah. That's all
I have to say, sorry, had to get it out.

Just thought y'all might wanna know about the BFF show at Thebarton
Theatre, Adelaide, South Australia. It was over a week ago now, but I
have been recovering from the impact of the concert and that's why I
didn't submit my thoughts until now (not a bad excuse if I do say so
myself). I've been to several concerts in SA now, and I can honestly
say I have never seen an Adelaide concert go off like that. Normally all
the geriatrics in this town are too busy complaining about the noise
level at concerts to get into the music, but the Theby theatre rocked on
Thursday 23rd July. The energy of these guys was incredible. I've only
been a real BFF fan for a few months now, but I realise after that
concert that Ben, Robert and Darren are true music legends. They are all
individually extremely talented, and together they are magic. They
played a fair bit of stuff from BFF, and less from WEAE, but it made me
appreciate the first album which I hadn't heard any of until the
concert. The only disappointing thing about the show was the one
dickhead in the audience who took it upon himself to pay out Robert with
insults along the highly intellectual lines of "geek". Ben responded to
this by demonstrating his newly found understanding of the Aussie word
"bogan". Congrats to Ben for being so quick with that one. I thought
Robert and Darren's harmonies were spine-tinglingly spot on, Ben's
melodica playing was great, and the highlight was "Steven's Last Night
in Town". Thanks for acknowledging my banter, guys.

Maire.

I was saddened by the loss of Robert's wallet during the taping of the video
for "Brick." Was seeing "Brick" popped up weird for anyone else or was it just
me? Also....was Robert the hamburger griller or Darren?? Perhaps they had the
same job...in any event, I think the additions of the cane and the spatula
were needed. :)

Yes, I watched ground zero- I, too, stayed up through the mountains of
drivel that show churns out. Anyhoo, I imagine any show that bleeps
the word "crack" out of "don't you know who I am" is a little too
mainstream (and tightly censored) to play anything with the "f"
word...even the "b" word... I was disappointed (especially given my
battle with the VCR) that they didn't play more of the interview but
thems the breaks. Did anyone get the full version on the radio? (I
am assuming this is where it came from.)

No offence intended re: query in last post. I seriously wasn't
allowed out at age 14... oh how times change...hand me that walking
stick will you?

not to be ratting on Ben....however, there are some things about his
opinions that were expressed in the past volume of the armchair are
somewhat harsh.

however .....ahveing said that ....they are also true.....

I think there has been an immense overkill on two different letters coming
into the armchair: (1) The 'Il love BFF' letter and (2) the i hate
teenybopper fans

cant we all come to some form of agreement that BFF is a fantastic band and
that there are some younger fans that are making 'older fans' feel a little
intimidated. I think we can saftley say that brick is a good song however,
these conversations about who is a 'bigger' fan are depressing me.......

IF SOMEONE SAYS THEY ARE A FAN......JST LEAE IT AT THAT.......STOP FEELING
SO TERRITORIAL!!!!!

Some people on this list are beginning to act like 8 year olds purley to
prove that they like a band more than another person........people should
get over thamselves

Thats my thought for the day

sorry for the spelling errors!!

Subject: More Miscellaneous crap and the Fuji Rock Festival

I just got back from the Fuji Rock Festival and Ben and his clan were all
seeming to be very happy that the touring was finally over for at least a
little while. I don't remember what the set list was off the top of my
head (but I assure you I will get one together), but I do know that they
played "Kane kaese" as the finale and that they did not play "Brick."
They layed -- Emaline, Underground, One Angry Dwarf, Battle of Who Could
Care Less, Jackson Cannery, Philosophy, Steven's Last Night in Town (ben
changed the ending bit to "last night on tour") and others. I can't
remember the order, but I'll have something up soon.

I was also lucky enough to get backstage (the next pretty girl to see Doug
Goodman or Alan Wolmark-- give them a big kiss and tell them it's from
me... Id do it myself, but I doubt t would man as much) and get some
photos from behind the scenes as the lads did interviews and such. I was
planning on putting up a full rundown and some pictures for the Japanese
site, but if there's anough interest, I'll put the text and pictures into
English under a seperate URL... let me know if ya'll want to see it (it'll
take a couple weeks though).

Also, while I was unable to pick any up, I did discover that the Shinko
Music editions of the BFF music have gone into print again. The secong
printing of the Whatever and Ever Amen band score is dated 7/2/98, and a
third printing of the piano score is dated 12/23/97... so there is yet
hope. Although it's written in English inside the books "it is unlawful
to sell or distribute this book outside of Japan" or something to that
effect.

And on a closing note, while I really don't want to get involved in the
"who's a real/better fan" debate, all ya'll should have stood where I was
a couple hours ago and watched the tears streaming down the cheeks of the
pretty young lady next to me when the band went on.
