narcolepsy...great song...big sound....cigarette-like vocals by ben...a gong
somewhere?...great harmonies...one part where the three guys harmonize and
the instruments are blaring and the music just hangs there for a bit...great
stuff...

Hey everybody!

I just put up a NEW BFF image gallery web site. It has some pictures that I'm
sure none of you have seen before. It's pretty minimal right now, but that'll
change over the next few days as I get more stuff scanned in. You're welcomed
to use any of the images on my site on your own sites as long as you give me
credit and a link.

Thanks,
Johnny

I spotted this on the www.dotmusic.co.uk site:

Ben Folds Five - Army

While it may be difficult to see where this distinctly American wacko-pop
single fits into the current scheme of things in the UK, there's no
doubting the sheer vitality and catchy enthusiasm of Ben Folds Five's
latest effort. Piano driven pop may not be set to challenge the likes of Mr
Oizo, but the lyrics to Army are better for a start.

I think the reviewer has hit the nail on the head with the above. Army is
incredibly catchy, but it is quite unlike anything else around here at the
moment, so may be totally ignored by mainstream radio, and hence by
everyone else. Which would be a shame. I think it might just have the
potential to be a big hit over here if it got some high-profile air-play.

Has anyone heard Army on UK radio yet?

How does Ben make that sound on the piano where it sort of shakes a little
(some examples are mitchel lane, and towards the end of the conan o'brian
performance of song for the dumped (when he says give me my money back, you
short fat bitch, etc.)
